Advantage Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work in our Telecommunications Division. The successful candidate will have significant project management experience working on new build projects in the wireless telecommunications industry and have a history of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.

Job Description & Duties:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the site development process including leasing, zoning, A&E drawings permitting, environmental and regulatory compliance, material orders, construction management, and site close out.
  • Manage staff and other resources to meet the project goals.
  • Communicate project requirements and status to team members including clients, subcontractors, and others.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project tracking reports and submit to client and other team members as required.
  • Accountable for meeting project deadlines and maintaining quality control of project deliverables.
  • Responsible for overseeing the financial performance of assigned projects including preparing accurate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, project billing reports and purchase orders.
  • Be the primary point of contact with the client.
  • Attend all client meetings and work out of client office as required.

Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering, construction management, related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 + years’ experience in wireless site design, construction, and development.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • Knowledge of national and local building codes.
  • Prior project management experience on multi-site project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Prior new site build experience in the Denver market required.

Advantage Engineers seeks a talented leader and manager to direct and manage our entire CAD department throughout three offices (Columbia, MD, Mechanicsburg, PA, and Pittsburgh, PA).

This position will be responsible for the overall production, quality, and staffing of the CAD dept. The successful candidate will exhibit the ability to manage in a fast-paced, team environment while maintaining a high standard of excellence. Creative problem solving and strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure templates are up to date and consistent throughout the department
  • Strategy and Implementation of a comprehensive QA/QC process
  • Communicate regularly with Directors for upcoming work and prospective project planning
  • Identify and address staffing resource needs and structure
  • Create and Implement Training Programs for staff development
  • Plan Team Building Events for different offices/regions
  • Optimize project submission requests and tracking

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years working knowledge of Autodesk products in a production role required

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high quality service to internal customers

Advantage Engineers is hiring a Learning and Development Manager/HR Generalist to incorporate both L&D and some HR generalist duties in support of our growing organization. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position will play a critical individual contributor role on our Talent Management team.

What you’ll do:

Learning & Development duties:

  • Create and deliver new and existing learning content to support the development of the business. This will include both instructor-led and online modes. Subject matter will include management, team effectiveness, business knowledge and corporate practices.
  • Research and identify external training resources to fit the business needs, such as software training and compliance training.
  • Provide key support to corporate initiatives (eg. Leadership Development Program, Performance Management, New Employee Orientation, etc.)
  • Act as learning point-of-contact for business operations, crafting learning solutions to their needs.
  • Support Division managers with their technical training needs, including delivery methods and tracking systems.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned or emerge in this role.

HR Generalist duties:

  • Provide support to HR department in all areas, including but not limited to orientation / onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and retention, EEO compliance and labor relations.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information.
  • Support company culture by understanding and modeling the company mission, vision, and values.

You should have:

  • Five years’ experience within Training / Learning and HR role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated instructional design capability, both through formal training and practical on-the-job application.
  • Experience delivering communications, professional development and managerial learning and development solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, preferably at an advanced level (incorporating sound, video, embedded files, custom animations).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical phone support and hands on help for all Advantage Engineers employees and affiliates when required. Also responds to emails and texts when assistance is required.
  • Assists users in troubleshooting Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Provides support for Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8 and 10).
  • Assist users with application specific issues, including software licensing issues.
  • Utilizes Active Directory database to reset passwords and create or manage users.
  • Controls user’s computers utilizing remote access tools.

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the inspection, testing, and documentation of the following:

  • Density testing of engineered fill
  • Foundation and building pad subgrade review
  • Review of backfilling for utilities
  • Review of retaining wall installation
  • Highway and roadway improvements
  • Asphalt, concrete and masonry testing

General Skills:

Education & Experience:

Advantage is hiring for both entry-level and experienced inspectors.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, geology or related discipline preferred, but not required
  • For mid-level positions, a minimum of 1-4 years’ experience in construction inspection or similar position
  • For entry-level positions, no experience is required

Other:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to sites/work remotely
  • Must possess active cellular phone for work-related communications, for which you will receive a monthly stipend

  • Verification of steel materials for various projects
  • Verification of weld filler materials
  • Visual verification of non-full-penetration welds
  • Inspection and testing of all bolted connections
  • UT, PT, or MT testing of all critical or full-penetration welds

Advantage Engineers is seeking a Tower Technician/Construction Manager. The position is based in our Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania office and will require market coverage/travel throughout the northeast and Midwest area. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Skilled use of fall arrestor system-Body harness, Carabineers, Lanyards, ropes etc.
  • Safely climb Monopoles, Lattice, Guyed Towers, Water Tanks and other various telecommunication structures.
  • May perform work in a bucket truck or man lift at heights (typically up to 150 feet).
  • Ability to map towers, mounts and appurtenances (includes measurements of members, bolts, mounts, antennas etc.).
  • Must be able to read a compass to determine Azimuths or utilize antenna alignment tools.
  • Complete required reports and other paperwork, some of which may require computer entry.
  • Closely adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to read and implement project drawings and specifications.
  • Identify essential materials and tools to carry out scope of work.

General Skills:

  • Must be able to pass a physical exam, background investigation, and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must pass Competent Climber and Rescuer certifications.
  • Must be able to work atop freestanding towers that exceed 300 feet in height.
  • Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders that exceed 300 feet in height.
  • Must be able to accommodate out of town travel on a frequent basis.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision and aggressive project schedules.
  • Excellent computer and reporting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Understanding or experience in leasing, zoning and Site Acquisition services a plus.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Comtrain Certification required (may be completed during a probationary period of employment).
  • Minimum 2 years wireless telecommunications experience.
