As the Administrative Assistant in our Mechanicsburg headquarters, you will be a key team member of our central office.  If you are interested in supporting and organizing the office management of a growing organization then guess what?

We are looking for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Greet office visitors
  • Professionally handle incoming office calls.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail
  • Order and manage office supplies.
  • Travel reservations for staff and execs Assist in HR/Administrative filing; other projects as assigned.
  • Aid in meeting planning (conference room reservations, meals, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support for payroll and expense reimbursements
  • Provide HR/Benefits support (assist in benefits enrollment & support to new hires)
  • Expanded benefits role over time to include benefits enrollment, support for benefits questions, Open Enrollment, etc.

You should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years office management or administrative assistant experience
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to efficiently identify errors, discrepancies and variances, while maintaining data quality and integrity
  • Effective communications skills and ability to communicate professionally in e-mail, in person, and on the phone
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision
  • Strong customer-service orientation to support staff, executives, and visitors
  • A willingness to learn more and expand the role as needed.
  • General computer skills and tech ability; experience working with Microsoft software suite and Windows operating system
  • A welcoming presence and suitability for front office reception.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for site construction support which may include installation of towers, mounts, antennas, feed lines, electronic cabinets, shelters, etc.
  • Able to read a compass to figure azimuths.
  • Complete required reports and other paperwork, some of which may require computer entry.
  • Closely adhere to all safety standards and procedures. Identify gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provide recommendations to higher level technical staff and management.
  • Read and implement project drawings and specifications.
  • Identify essential materials and tools to complete scope of work.
  • Assist client with equipment orders, managing warehouse inventory and return or used/unused site equipment.
  • Identify and approve qualified construction general contractors to utilize on projects.
  • Submit bid documents to approved general contractors and coordinate all aspects of the bid process, including scheduling the bid walk, review of bids, production of a bid package and construction recommendations.
  • Create and manage the construction schedule for each site. The schedule will consider permitting, materials availability, contractor availability, utility provisioning as required, network deployment timing, cost efficiency, property owner availability and any other variables.
  • Administer the construction contract for the accuracy of bid package to actual cost and schedule adherence as reasonably possible.
  • Perform and / or supervise a feasibility walk to determine whether the proposed site may be properly constructed according to quality and technical standards.
  • Communicate with client operations and systems performance personnel before starting any site work, mobilize general contractors and manage completion of site work in continuous communication with client personnel. Provide post-work summaries immediately upon project completion and procedure closeout packages to client specifications.
  • Prepare a punch list for overall construction completion and management of contractors to have same completed. Ensure the construction contractors obtain all proper inspections and final sign-offs, recorded easements, etc. Finalize and present a complete closeout package.
  • Prepare and update site status reports, databases and project forecast reports.
  • Develop new business opportunities with clients.

Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office suite. Database, customer tracking systems experience a plus.
  • Ability to create detailed and concise reports and tracking tools for all aspects of a project.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to site/work remotely.
  • OSHA 10 and / OSHA 30.
  • CPR / First Aid.
  • Able to pass initial background check and substance screening.
  • Driving record must meet Advantage Engineers insurance standards and must maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge in a Technical Trade, Maintenance, Electrical Instrumentation and / or Operations.
  • Experience using basic power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels and ability to respectfully follow supervision.

  • Visual verification of non-full-penetration welds
  • Inspection and testing of all bolted connections
  • UT, PT, or MT testing of all critical or full-penetration welds

General Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and maps

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or (SCWI), required
  • New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJDCA) licensure, preferred but not required
  • International Code Council (ICC) Structural Welding & Bolting certification, preferred but not required
  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) certifications in the following preferred, but not reuired:
  • Visual Testing (VT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Other:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to sites/work remotely
  • Must possess active cellular phone for work-related communications, for which you will receive a monthly stipend

  • Provide site acquisition support/services on various projects, as assigned.
  • Scrubbing search rings/identifying telecommunications facilities that meet project requirements.
  • Engaging and negotiating with facilities’ landlords.
  • Maintaining communications and consistent interaction with clients and various local jurisdictions.
  • Securing all legally-necessary government approvals.

General Skills

General Skills:

  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to operate independently
  • Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Education & Experience:

  • 2 years+ of construction oversight and/or inspection experience
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • ACI Concrete Certification, NICET Certification, NECEPT Bituminous and Concrete Certifications preferred.
  • Associate's Degree in a related technical field a plus

  • A valid driver's license is required
