On Saturday, September 24th, Advantage Engineers participated in the Pennsylvania Wireless Association’s (PWA) team for the BikeMS City to Shore Ride 2016 in New Jersey. The event benefits the National MS Society.
The PWA team completed the 80-mile ride spanning from Woodcrest Station in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Ocean City, New Jersey. Donations from the event go to the National MS Society to fund research for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and bring awareness to the disease. The National MS Society calls the disease “an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body.” The event drew over 7,000 participants.
Advantage Regional Director John Thibodoux participated in the BikeMS Ride and said he rides because his sister-in-law was diagnosed with Relapse Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) 15 years ago and the ride is a great way to support the research for a cure.
“The BikeMS City to Shore ride was a very enjoyable experience,” said Joshua Krebs, an Advantage Geotechnical Specialist III. “To be involved in something like this is extremely inspiring and humbling. With well over 7,000 riders, the “BikeMS City to Shore” ride is truly an impressive event! The event organization is superb and they offer various, well supported routes to fit anyone’s skill/fitness level. I would encourage anyone that has any interest to take part in any way they can.”
